Benin

As the fourth country to benefit from the support of Winds of Hope, Benin launched its national program in May 2004. By the end of 2006, Winds of Hope had contributed up to CHF 180,000 (€120,000) and its support has enabled some 300 health care workers to be trained and 300 and community volunteer teams to be created. A nineteen-member multidisciplinary and multi-sector national committee for the fight against Noma was also implemented.
