 A university graduate in both technical subjects (EPFL – Swiss Federal Polytechnic Institute, Lausanne) and economics (HEC business school), Philippe Rathle has 15 years of top management to his credit with EOS, Stellram, and Somo, which he transformed into Swisspipe. Since 2000, he has been working as a manager and independent consultant for SMEs and start-ups. Today, in addition to one or two consultancy contracts, he divides his time between: 
 Solar Impulse SA: Chief Financial & Administrative Officer and manager of the Foundation (2004) ; 
 Winds of Hope: Director of the humanitarian foundation (2009 ) ;
 Gonthier-Schneeberger AG: Director and CFO (2008).
