The friendship that had sprung up between the pilots of the Orbiter and Thedy Schneider during the balloon adventure continued through their collaboration in Winds of Hope.
Breitling, having sponsored Bertrand Piccard and Brian Jones for their non-stop round-the-world balloon flight in Breitling Orbiter 3, was again at their side to found Winds of Hope and share their combat against this neglected disease.
